A Eurasian Tree Sparrow popularly known here as a Maya. I saw this poor guy when I was walking home. I thought it wierd that this bird wasn’t flying so I looked at him closer and he couldn’t fly and escape as much as he liked. Took him home thinking that I could tend him. Not knowing any veterinary medicine, I couldn’t help him out. I thought his chance of survival in the house would be very slim, especially with my cat Siga, and dog Spencer roaming about. I took him out to the garden, and placed him in a hidden bush with some of his flying friends close by. I thought he would survive better in the wild outside world with his native animal instincts than in my clumsy hands.
