The Fabulous Marriott Hotel Manila – Review

If you fly as much as I do, it’s impossible to miss seeing the Marriott Hotel — it’s right smack in front of Terminal 3. I remember looking at the huge lot when construction was still ongoing years back, wondering what assortment of accommodations and entertainment venues are going to rise in such a spacious stretch of prime lot. Fast-forward to the present, this Manila iteration of the eminent five-star international chain of full service hotels is a veritable destination in itself. Located within the Resorts World complex, it houses five restaurants, a cafe, a spa, fitness center, the requisite outdoor pool, a business center, an on-site casino, on the premises and even an 18-hole golf venue, the Villamor Golf Course, a few steps away.

All 570 rooms — from the Suites to the Guest Rooms — have their own spacious desks matched with ergonomic chairs and bright lighting which make staying here even I have business to take care of such a joy. To add to these, there’s high-speed internet to keep me connected at all times.   Keeping glued to my laptop is admittedly a difficult task as there’s so much to enjoy in-room. Ah, there’s the distraction of large-screen plug-and-play LED TVs, the luxurious marble bathrooms with water jets and plush robes, and diving to the bed, it’s just relaxing to sink into the 300-thread count sheets.

The thing with luxurious digs is that it’s tempting to stay in-room most of the time which can be a shame considering the many entertainment possibilities within the Resorts World complex. Why, you don’t even have to step out of the hotel and there are a lot of things to keep you occupied plenty. Like I don’t have to leave my gym stuff at home and miss working out as there’s a really nice gym here. Maybe even have a massage at the end of the day but not after trying out some of the restaurants and food outlets at the Newport Mall .   If I have days to spare, I certainly would wander into Resorts World, just a 3-minute or so walk away, what with the tempting food outlets there, Crisostomo for Filipino Cuisine being one of them.

Enjoying a bit of luxury here in Marriott Hotel Manila doesn’t have to be super-expensive. Not when you can book your stay through Paylesser and enjoy up to 75% discount on their hotel deals — a great way to treat yourself without spending a lot.

The proximity to the international and domestic airport terminals could be a huge time-saver at a time when traffic gridlocks within the metro seems to be the norm. Well, staying here is like coming over to a great destination anyway, with so many things on offer that it’s hard to get bored. On the contrary, it’s more of running out of time to enjoy all the things, all the amenities that Marriott Hotel Manila has to offer.
