I was thinking about what to write on my 1000th post and I was caught in a wind. Should I write something momentous and grand? Or something spectacular like listing down all the site achievements since it started? I wasn’t sure, really, so I’m just gonna write about the 3 questions I asked on my 1000th Post Giveaway to give not only the answers but a quick overview of this blog’s history.

Cavite: Seeing Corregidor in a Whole New Light

The Mile Long Barracks at sundown
The Mile Long Barracks at sundown

I must admit, I’ve been putting off visiting Corregidor for years now. I’ve been to places far-off Manila yet I haven’t been able to set foot on this island which is basically an hour away by ferry. Maybe I wasn’t too convinced seeing island ruins bombarded during the Second World War or even the somewhat high price tag for a destination so near. But my perception changed when I finally got to visit the island. I think the place wasn’t marketed enough as Corregidor Island was more intriguing than I thought it would be.

Enter Sonya’s Bed and Breakfast

I know Valentines just around so some of you may be looking for a nice fine dining restaurant. If you would ask me Antonio’s Restaurant takes the cake for ultimate dining pleasure, but you have to book at the place in advance. But also nearby is another worthy destination which inspired Antonio’s Resto as well. It’s Sonya’s Bed and Breakfast.
