Manila: MV Doulos final voyage in the Philippines

The world’s oldest active sea-faring passenger ship MV Doulos is back in Manila on its way to its last voyage. This will probably be the last time it will dock on Manila shores since the ship will retire on 2010. MV Doulus (doulus is a greek for Servant) is also known as the floating bookstore that has gone around the world spreading charity on every country it visits. For now it will be in Manila shores from March 6-30 2009.

Tea tasting with tummy treats

Lemon Torte

You know what I else I like aside from shooting travel photos? It’s Food! Those baked goodies just melt in your eyes. I was recently able to try some cakes at Classic Confections in Greenbelt 5. Pastries is one of my food weaknesses, especially those colorful and mouth watering ones like from this cake shop. I try to stay away eating much of these, if fact I’m already contented eating bits of one of each since some I found really sweet. So let me just indulge a bit with some yummy photos instead. Living By Water Opening Night

Living by Water Poster

I never really expected to have an exhibit. But when opportunity comes knocking at your door, you have to be ready to accept and act on it. So I did. When Alcove Perspective, opened themselves for exhibit proposals early this year, I sent 5 4R photos samples and a concept proposal. In truth I was just trying my luck. But despite this, there are top local celebrities that is hard to miss with their numerous commercials, posters and billboards. So when Blue Water Day Spa sent an invitation to introduce their two new endorsers, Marian Rivera and Piolo Pascual, I thought that this is a very interesting marketing strategy and would surely cause some buzz since both are from two rival stations.

Batanes Revisited 2008

It’s been 4 years since I have been here and since then I’ve always wanted to go back. My first trip to Batanes has been one of my most memorable travels since then. And when the chance to go back there came knocking in, I didn’t hesitate to say yes. Batanes has this long lasting charm that holds you once you have stepped up on its land. And now thanks to Epson Philippines, Geiser Maclang and fellow bloggers Juned as well for the referral, the dream of going back has been fulfilled. And the charm of Batanes is still there.
