Well it was one different weekend I may say. The rains may pour but it won’t stop me from getting out of the house and do some things that I’m supposed to do and not supposed to do (huh?! Something I would rather not write about hehehe) well it was an enlightening and learning and funny weekend.
Aside having my bag fixed suring Mr. Quickie’s 30% sale service, I was able to pay our cable bills, buy a copy of the new Hunter X Hunter’s Final OVA, some groceries and stuff. Got to watch videos “Mona Lisa Smile” and “The Last Samurai”. I must say I enjoy watching both movies. I like “Mona Lisa Smile” for it’s references to Art and having an independent mind and un-conformity. It’s more of a feel good movie. I’m a sucker for “Samurai” movies that’s why I kinda like “The Last Samurai” a bit. There are nice moments here and the sword fights are something, but there’s something lacking here though. I guess I must blame James Clavell for his amazing “Shogun” and Eiji Yoshikawa for telling the story of the writer of the book of five rings, “Miyamoto Musashi” for seeing the shortcoming of the movie. Though it’s still quite an entertaining one.
One thing I like about this blogging thing is that I can recall what I did when. I’m going to try out the free edition of Movable Type and see if I do need what is added since I’m only a basic user. We’ll see later then
