Western Australia’s capital of Perth is a stop regularly missed by those traveling Down Under, but for absolutely no good reason! Perth is a vibrant and individual hub of welcoming locals, blazing sunshine and incredible activities tailored to suit every traveller. Although considered the worlds most isolated city, Perth is near to some stunning natural wonders far from the bustling rat race and crowded tourist trail. To appreciate the diversity and vastness of the Australian outback, the best way to travel throughout Perth and the Coral Coast is certainly by car. So if after choosing a reliable motor from Perth airport car hire and purchasing a trusty A-Z, jump behind the wheel and start your journey towards these perfect pit stops.

Explore the lovely city by car, beginning with a picturesque drive through Kings Park flanked by tropical palms trees and stunning monuments. Feast on a picnic in one of the botanical gardens while enjoying a panoramic view of the city. Once you’ve eaten your fill, head into the city center for a hefty dose of culture in one of Perth’s many incredible museums. Take part in mind boggling scientific experiments in Scitech or wander through rooms full of gorgeous paintings in the Art Gallery of Western Australia. End your lovely afternoon with a bite to eat at one of Perth’s many al fresco restaurants – the Red Cabbage comes highly recommended for its refined and gourmet cuisine. After this wonderful family day out, rest your feet at one of Perth’s welcoming family campsites – we recommend Woodman Point Holiday Park, situated only a short drive from Perth city Centre with a lovely  woodland backdrop and great amenities.

Drive alongside the glittering Swan River into the majestic Swan Valley for a stroll through lush vineyards, ending with a glorious afternoon of basking in the sunshine and sampling the region’s most delicious wines. There will certainly be some altercations regarding who is driving home after gorging on hearty cheese platters and sipping the fine wines on offer.

If the city life becomes too much and all you want to do is immerse yourself in the tranquil wilderness of Western Australia, grab the car keys and head out into Western Australia’s incredible collection of diverse national parks- it will be a decision you won’t regret. Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park offers beautiful beaches, fruitful fishing and intriguing bird watching on one lovely platter, all without straying far from the spot you pitched your tent.  Head onto the world famous and beautifully named Lucky Bay, home to Australia’s whitest beach! Here you can laze on the beach amongst kangaroos or swim in the turquoise ocean, paradise on earth! Finally, for an ethereal, Mars like landscape of gaping canyons, burning landscapes and staggering hikes, drive down to Karijini National park where roaring waterfalls spurt from indigo rock formations.
