There’s a whole new different world in Boracay and they call it the Boracay Newcoast. This 150-hectare township is being groomed for upscale development. Amid the hilly greens, wide open roads and quiet white beach coves is the stylish Savoy Hotel. The six-story 559-room hotel has a distinctive modern and dynamic architecture.

Nature-inspired Design
Its interiors has nature-inspired patterns, an organic design and furniture splashed with vibrant colors. The Vienne Lobby Lounge has a lot of chic chairs, colorful benches free-form furniture, hanging retreat pods and artistic lighting, making this modern space conducive for reading and relaxing. The lounge bar offers coffee, tapas and sandwiches.

Vibrant Rooms
Four room variants are available, the 27 sqm Deluxe, the scenic 32 sqm Corner Deluxe Twin, the roomy Premiere Deluxe and the cozy Executive Suite with its espresso machine and separate living area. All rooms share the cool and lively summer color themes of aqua, magenta, purple and green. Each room also has its own balcony with either a view of the sea or the golf course.
I stayed at the Premiere Deluxe room and appreciate its generous space. I enjoyed spending time at the veranda where I could see activities at the pool. The small side sofa and table became my workspace as I made use of their high speed wifi connectivity. The interiors is pleasant and I like how consistent the patterns are used throughout the hotel, including the room carpets.

Top Notch Facilities
At the heart of the hotel is the main party pool and an outdoor stage pool arena, a first in the country. Savoy Hotel can hold events at their expansive Function Hall that can accommodate up to 120 guests. Small groups can also have private meetings at their well-thought out boardrooms readily equipped for presentations and a two-way closet for unobtrusive meal servings. Guests can keep fit at the fully-equipped gym with high-end Precor cardio machines, multi- function equipment and free weights. For some wellness indulgence, the hotel offers massage service either in-room or in their spa.

Dining
The sophisticated Savoy Cafe is the main dining area that can sit 150 people. Sumptuous contemporary cuisines and delectable desserts are served including a level-up version of the island’s Chori Burger, this time made chunkier and more savory. The pastries were also a delight like the lemon chocolate and Sabayon Chocolate cake. The embedded Chambery Pool Bar offers refreshments and cocktails for poolside guests.

The Quiet Boracay Side
Beachcombers can take a 10-minute walk or a quick shuttle service to Cove 2, a serene 295-meters wide white beach where the sun rises and a welcome breathing space from the crowded main beach. Lounge chairs and bean bags are available for guest to get comfortable in. While there, I was entertained by a group of Koreans doing their team-building activities. If the weather permits, sunrise viewing is also possible.
Guests longing for nightlife have the option to go to the White Beach via the hotel’s complimentary shuttle service to D’mall throughout the day.

Savoy Hotel
A Savoy Hotel staycation means getting the best of two worlds — the experience of a beach-side luxury lifestyle on the tranquil side of Boracay and yet staying close to where the nightlife is.
